Bringing family and friends together at every stage of life
At both Kathryn’s House in Guildford and Mayfield House in Walton-on-Thames, we know the importance of connection and we want all our residents to feel connected to family, friends and loved ones. To encourage this, we always welcome visits to our nursing homes and want to ensure they happen as frequently as possible. The social aspect of moving into a nursing home or residential care can have a big impact on mental health and so we do our best to provide areas for entertaining visitors, we even have an on-site pub at Mayfield House! Visiting loved ones at Kathryn’s House and Mayfield House
We encourage family and friends to visit their loved ones at Kathryn’s House and Mayfield House as frequently as possible. If you would like to visit, you are welcome to book a time by calling the relevant care home and speaking with a member of the care team. We have no set times for visits but do not recommend visiting during mealtimes. Of course, if you wish to join your loved one for lunch, please call ahead and we will do our best to accommodate, there will be a charge of £5 that will go towards our resident's fund. We are also happy to arrange trips and days out with family for residents, please speak to our teams if you have something in mind that you would like to arrange for your loved one. Our team care about the wellbeing, both physically and emotionally of our residents and facilitate connections as much as possible as part of our care plans.
